Every bit of me is Poisonous!
... and I am called Spring Pheasant’s Eye or Adonis vernalis – a wild flower from the Russian Steppe, isolated in the Canton of Valais after the last ice age 10,000 years ago! I thought they would be finished by now but this late winter and recent pouring rain, have kept some of them in good condition but they are difficult to photograph right now as the grass around them is so long!
Thanks for the lovely comments on the black crowned night heron yesterday too. Sorry for not keeping up with commenting, lots to do and not enough time to do it in!
