Corona?

An unfortunate choice of name for a boat!

Went to Oban today in the vain hope of getting astro turf or similar for the patio. First decided to have lunch so went to Cuan Mor, it was half empty & after standing at the counter for eons we eventually got a table. then waited, and waited and waited. Finally my infinite patience ran out and so did we, to another  establishment who were right on the ball & we had a good feast. From there it was to Home-base to look for the fake grass etc. No assistant (that's an oxymoron of a name for they don't assist!) could point us in the right direction until one eventually shrugged her shoulders for the umpteenth time today and said " its hard to get because of covid" Seriously! what has astro turf got to do with covid 19!
Then at he counter himself asked where was the gizmo to pay with his card and the gum chewing yoof who was multi tasking talking to his assistant pal pointed vaguely in an easterly direction! What is wrong with these people is there no management to train them in basics?
Top marks for customer service has to go to Pets at Home in Oban who were exceedingly helpful in every which way!
Finally on my downward spiral of a day, I asked himself who wanted to look at the middle of Lidl if he could buy me juice. I should have known better than to present him with a choice for which he invariably panics and buys the wrong stuff and emerges with a bottle of sparkling water. Do I look like a "sparkling" water type of gal! The journey home was rapid but silent!
