Hookney Tor, Dartmoor (Height 497m)
Well we didn't get the snow that was forcasted last night but a fair covering so Mrs M and I set off this morning on out daily walk to Hookney Tor.
The change in the temperature and the weather from here in Moretonhampstead to the high moor was considerable and on the top of the tor the wind was so fierce it was hard to stand up, which of course gave a windchill factor of well below freezing.
Not a day to hang around but we always get a sense of achievement at getting to the top and it gives us old pensioners a feeling of well being, that we can still do it
