Chester

We were tourists for the day in Chester today!

It was founded in the 1st century AD as a Roman fortress...There are extensive Roman walls made of red sandstone which Circle the old city...

We had coffee and cake in one of the two level covered arcades called The Rows ( Tudor style half timbers buildings ).

We walked right round the walls ( about an hour )...then a half hour boat trip on the river Dee.

Nice and sunny all morning, then a shower at 2pm.

It's hard work being a tourist!
