Bees buzzin’

Went up here in a break between showers and stood in the sun listening to bees and watching butterflies.  This area of the garden was the bit the previous owners left long. I should have cut it when we moved in in December as some very coarse grass is taking over but it will have to wait as there are quite a few wildflowers coming up anyway plus masses of alkanet which is self seeded everywhere round here and although non native and quite a thug is loved by bees at least.   Still it will be fun to see what emerges, some fritillary earlier, some campion and oxe eye daisies now.  Flowery blippers, should I try and plant in some yellow rattle to undermine the grass?
