Mustapha
It's our young mechanic from the breakdown on the way to Nalerigu - again.
Set off from Nalerigu to go back to Offinso - not as early as Daniel had planned because he thought his car was making suspicious noises again and wanted to get it checked before we left - but still we were away by 6.30, the mechanic not having found anything.
Picked up a couple of girls on the road - yes I know how dodgy that sounds - they were walking several miles to school, a return trip they do every day, so we gave them a lift.
Daniel drove the rough road and the car was definitely not sounding god by the time we got to the main road at Walewale, so he stopped at the first repair shop, and there was Mustapha again.
And another boy we'd never seen before, who greeted me with 'Hello Pastor Richard' - I don't even remember telling Mustapha who I was, so he must have picked it up from the conversation and told his mate.
To cut a long story short... We were in Walewale 4 hours and the fix that Mustapha's boss finally managed lasted about 10 minutes. We decided just to keep driving and keep praying, and it was nearly 10pm before we got to Offinso. I only drove a little bit and the car was horrible, every time you lifted your foot off the throttle it tried to wander across the road.
Still - we got there, and had breakfast of rice ball and guinea fowl in groundnut soup while we were waiting, which kept us going all day.
