Burnt stick
Also, it looks a bit like a 'stick' insect. Imaginations fired up now!
We came to the Seahorse Inn, Boydtown, via Eden (8km north) where we spent some time in the museum which is dedicated mostly to the whaling industry of days gone by. Logging was another source of livelihood for the town.
Benjamin Boyd founded this village in 1843 to service his nearby properties. When his finances collapsed, so did Boydtown. The first renovation of the Seahorse Inn occurred in the 1930s.
Here we are, in 2021 with no complaints. We spent the afternoon exploring the shore and are just about to head for dinner.
Thanks for hosting Laurie54. Stay well all.
