Back to the cathedral

I’ve blipped this lovely stretch of the W&OD trail before. We noticed today that the tall, tall trees overhead are mostly tulip magnolias. I brought home some of the fallen “tulip” petals to blip tomorrow, if they don’t dry out overnight.

Hours outdoors and in the “secret room” today, cleaning and planting and picking up. It was marvelously cool (though still t-shirt weather while I was working) and overcast. Enjoyed mourning dove conversations and faint cricketsong. This coming week will get hot and I expect we’ll see the first cicadas.
