Human barometer

Three blip possibilities:
- the metal bridge that is hard for a dog to walk across but now has a flat area on the side that doesn't hurt one's paws and is the best new thing in my world today
- this picture of Samuel with the light in the distance
- cicada crawling out of the ground

Samuel always seems to be a popular subject. 

- I have a blow-up mattress for car camping that I pumped up today to test. 
- Forms for health insurance that I read and filled out today. 
One of the annoying things about being in a system where health insurance is tied to employment is that your health insurance ends with your job. There is a gap in coverage for the two weeks I'm taking off to heal and then another gap between when I start and when the new job's insurance takes effect. We can buy health insurance to cover the period and we are assured it will be retroactive to the period where the other insurance ends, but it seems like the perfect opportunity for something to go wrong. Err.

As a result, I'll see some doctors this week, even though I'm not 100% vaccinated because this week I know I have insurance. 

So, despite being very tired because of the weather, I was productive enough.
