Hey Jude...

Cooking, for me, is about sharing things. I love to cook, yet eat terribly when I'm alone. When I do cook for myself, though, it's a party (of one, of course). Mr. Alwayswandering thinks I could get the prize for most music that doesn't go together on a playlist. Perhaps that's true, but when I cook for myself, I can listen to anything I want, sing at the top of my lungs and dance out loud. Not that I would...or that you could prove it...

The cake is gone and I had a craving for vegetables, noodles and peanutbutter. Thank goodness for Thai Peanut Sauce or that would be freakin' weird. The sauce could have used ginger (I was out), and I thought it needed more red pepper until I realized I was sneezing and my eyes were watering...(I add more red pepper when I cook alone, too). I made it up from a bunch of recipes on the web and what I had in the fridge, so don't ask for the recipe. Below is what randomly played from my playlist "sing-a-long" ...go ahead and laugh, but somewhere in there I also have The Inkspots, They Might Be Giants, The Knack, Burl Ives, Jo Serrapare, April Wine, Deathcab for Cutie, the Violent Femmes, Patti Smith, and Axel Rose singing the Stones...(I have endeavored to be more selective when Mr. Alwayswandering is around...)

Plain White T's Beatles
Dolly Parton Joni Mitchell
Depeche Mode Journey
The Eagles Lavender Diamond
The Moldy Peaches The Cure
Ray Charles The Weepies
Cheap Trick Michelle Shocked
Don McLean Judy Collins
Judy Garland Dan Seals
Hellogoodbye Andy Williams
Harry Connick Jr. Madona

I couldn't decide between this and this, but the background colors decided it. And, though dinner itself wasn't especially blip worth, it sure was yummy.
