Splash

East Park splash boat. Apparently it’s nearly a hundred years old, and one of only three in the country. You climb the steps at the back of the building and once the wooden boat is full it descends down the rails, splashes into the pool and everyone gets totally soaked. Especially if you sit at the back.

As a kid, it was exhilarating.
Good to see it’s still there.
