Looked out the kitchen window and spotted this fledgling perched on the side of my Hydrangea planter. It’s sibling was also nearby. By this afternoon they had relocated elsewhere.

Pleased to read the account of Thornton Dale 
Cricket Club first XI match against Forge Valley yesterday. Middle son Matthew top scored with 74 off 83 balls before departing. He and his partner Tim made a 105 partnership. Both coming through the junior ranks. They both went to the local primary school along with Gareth, Tim’s brother. Good to see them still involved with local sport.
