Perfect timing

I'd just put the bird food out and added some peanut butter to the trees. Waiting for the kettle to boil and gazing out of the window, there was the woodpecker. The camera was at hand and had the long lens on and the settings were more or less right from unsuccessful attempts yesterday.

Thanks to everyone who commented, starred or favourited 500 yesterday. I'd planned to fish out my Levi 501s for today's blip but Mr Woodpecker is much more interesting.
