High Tide

We took a ride to the ocean this morning, at what I thought would be low tide.
I heard about a ship wreck, from the 1800's which has appeared on occasion during a low tide at Short Sands. A friend told me it had been uncovered last week from the big storm that hit the northeast.
I was excited to possibly photograph this 19th century shipwreck. But, to my surprise, when we arrived, the waves were HUGE, splashing over the sea walls, onto the street. It was HIGH TIDE! I read chart wrong!
So, we did not see the shipwreck, but we did see the beauty of the angry sea. I loved looking at the waves roaring onto the sand, splashing over the rocks. I took a lot of pictures, so it was not a wasted trip.
Hopefully, I will get back there soon, at low tide, to capture the ship wreck.
