A small town somewhere in Germany

Back in my hometown, a little walk, get the food in for the weekend and have a little look around what has changed. I have not seen this since the start of all the lockdowns last year!
Some of these houses originate from the 16th century and are built in the traditional oak frame and wattle and daub. Later they were covered in the local slates. The rooms are tiny and so are the windows. Extended and altered over many years, low ceilings small windows, they don’t have the convenient layouts and large windows letting in lots of light, that the modern houses have but they look nice from the outside!
