An afternoon in England

Martin and I had a lovely afternoon in Berwick upon Tweed, walking along the Elizabethan town walls before meandering through the town centre and the local shops.

As you can see the bridge is under a complete refurbishment.

The English and Scottish fought over Berwick continually, with the town changing hands continually, before Richard of Gloucester finally took if for England in 1492.
