Thanks for all the advice on shutter speeds yesterday. At 1/2000 I can see every feather almost frozen, but the ISO is very high. I've done some noise reduction but it reduces the sharpness. I guess it's a trade-off.
I love the way his wings almost meet in the middle. I expect a bird's wings to be over its back not under its breast. It reminds me of Muybridge proving that all four horse's hooves can be off the ground when it gallops. You just can't see such fast movement with your bare eye.
