Firepit
Every few months the "Friends of Narrabeen RSL" catch up - this time we caught up (minus 1) at.... Narrabeen RSL (not always the case).
We are four couples who collided at one of our number's 60th birthday party a few years ago and discovered we all had one thing in common. We'd all been, at some stage or other, to Narrabeen RSL. We all agreed it was one of the most unusual places we'd ever been to (see extras) but that it had a strange attraction. It's sort of like a 1960s country town club crossed with .... something else that you can't quite identify.
This afternoon it's been probably the coldest so far this autumn. After a few ends of "barefoot" lawn bowls we splashed out the extra $30 for a firepit.
"Suitably eccentric" (as I was once described as being, rather flatteringly I felt).
