Golden hour.

After a full day, I'm feeling quite exhausted. Hayley arrived with  the two children at 8.15am, and went back to Jodie's at 6.30pm. Having lived for 14 months without visitors in the house today was certainly different. But fantastic to spend family time and feel like we were doing something a bit 'normal.' 

Played with the children in the morning, after lunch Hayley and I took Reggie for a walk in his pushchair so he could have his afternoon nap. Emmeline didn't want to come as she "Didn't want to get muddy". She is such a 'girly girl' as the extra picture shows. She picks her daily outfits - Always a dress, leggings if it's chilly, usually a tutu, a hoodie, trainers (because they are practical) and something pretty in her hair. Her favourite colour is pink! Hayley has no idea where she's come from as she herself isn't a girly girl. In fact both my girls are outdoor sporty types, as I am. Hayley advocates 'gender neutrality' in her teaching, so it's all quite amusing!

In the afternoon we called into a little boutique in the village, 4 1/2 year old Emmeline spent the whole time telling Mummy that she should buy  dresses. "Pretty dresses". Oh Hayley, you must be such a disappointment to your daughter, you bought a shorts all in one jumpsuit, a pair of dungarees and a tunic top to wear over leggings! I earned brownie points by buying Emmeline the most sparkly hairband I've ever seen. She was thrilled! Her idea of heaven was shopping in a boutique clothes shop!

Although tired, I decided to pop out and join our camera club Friday night group for a meet up at the reservoir where I took this shot.
