The Hollow Tree

Lots of the trees just outside our garden are very old but seem to offer a good home to a variety of wildlife.  This afternoon we have  been able to watch a variety of birds looking for nesting sites.  Really enjoyed that.  I even got my biggest lens out focussed on the nesting box where the tits had been coming and going all afternoon - until the spotted me with the big lens and camera!

I don't like to mention it too much, but we haven't had any rain today - yet!  I think it's due to start a little later...  Meanwhile the air is full of white fluffy stuff blowing around.  Not sure what it is off.  Don't think it's dandelions.  Anyone got any ideas what it might be?
