Heathery hills

I ran a big loop from Broughton over numerous hillocks around the Holms Water. This is looking south west from Blakehope Head to Gathersnow Hill on the horizon which marked my turn.

Nobody on the hills today, just me and the skylarks.

My final climb was over the intriguingly named Knowe Kniffling, an Iron Age hill fort.

To celebrate my birthday, I bought a macaroni pie in the Broughton shop. It was delicious.
