Expectant

Out with a colleague today, carrying out more visits to establishments where indoor hospitality will commence from Monday.  This is at a very plush hotel near Stafford, complete with its own moat.  The swans have been nesting there for some years and on this occasion they have set up home right next to the car park.

I was waiting for my colleague to arrive so took the opportunity to take a few photos.  The cob came from the other side of the pool to check me out, but then seemed quite happy to do some 'gardening' in the background.
