A lazy day

Alfie, Lexi and I had  lazy day on my bed today with them snoozing and me mostly reading. I finished A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, which although it wasn't a page-turner was very well written. I was sorry to find that Kindle included the sample of another of his books in the amount left to read, so I wasn't expecting the end so soon. I won't say any more about the ending as I don't want to spoil it for anyone else, but I will just say that I had mixed feelings. 

I did stir myself to go to the post box on Morningside with a card and voucher for my great niece who is about to turn two. I've not yet met her, here's hoping one of these days I will.
