Mothers Day

It's been a busy weekend and Mother's Day was no exception, so no lie in with breakfast and flowers (but at least a cup of tea) A card and homemade truffles from eldest.

Then sleepover guest to be returned home while I picked up tiddler and friend from Beaver District Sleepover.

There was a bacon sarnie and espresso made for lunch.

Splitting up and hubby and tiddler went to see his mum, while I took a sleep deprived eldest to see my mum.

Off to cricket nets and I went for a run while eldest practised - he got strangely over worried when I wasn't back by 4 but I'd run further than I'd meant to (7 miles by fact, 6.26 miles by grrr phone that died on the way back)

Then home for the finale - roast beef by hubby and eldest assisted Yorkshire puddings - a little crispy around the edges, but yummy

I'm still a little smug that I've only had 1 bottle of wine since Friday (I've also learnt that chocolate wine should only be a small single glass drank with desert or coffee)

Bed time at 10pm tonight I think, and back to work for a 'rest'
