Sunday: Ptuj

K. and I had a plan today to take a drive up to the town of Ptuj in Slovenia.

When we got up this morning, it was pretty rainy and was set to be like that for much of the day.  We stared out of the window for a while and then decided to go anyway.  The rain did actually stop while we were there so hurrah for that!

Ptuj is a lovely little town, you can walk it pretty easily in a couple of hours.  Lots of little nooks and crannies and architectural details to see.  Well worth a visit in warmer weather, methinks.

And now try and say Ptuj and not sound like you are sneezing.  

I am also starting to think that the Austro-Hungarians got a job lot on yellow paint.
