Llandudno Pier

I've been looking for gyms with swimming pools, but there aren't any private gyms around here, just the local leisure centres. I went to visit  the one in our town last week and the pool didn't look particularly appealing, but when were in Llandudno on Saturday we saw the Llandudno Swimming Centre.  I googled it and it got really good reviews, so I booked a session online for 9.30am this morning.  It's only a 15 minute drive, so no distance at all and it is a very nice pool, and very clean.  As I walked into the changing room there was a guy behind me, and I saw a man in the changing room, so thought I'd gone into the wrong one and asked where the ladies was, the guy replied and said it's mixed.  Luckily there are cubicles, so it's ok.  You get a 45 minute swim, with 15 minutes afterwards to get changed, and then the changing rooms are cleaned ready for the next session.

It was such a beautiful morning and the sea was like a lake so I stopped to take a couple of photos and then I went to see Clare.  We sat in her garden and had a diet coke  and biscuits that her daughter had made - their house is on the road up to the Great Orme (the hill behind the pier), and it really does have the most amazing views across the bay.  As I drove to Clare's there was a really cool vintage bus parked in front of the pier, so I stopped to get a photo of it which I've added to my extras.  It does trips around the Great Orme, so we might look at booking to go on it, it looks pretty cool.

I was going to go and do some shopping while I was in town, but it was so sunny that I decided to head home and have lunch in the garden with Alan.  Once he went back to work, I sat in the conservatory for a while and Ibby called - he'd been on a flight to the Philippines and they're not allowed to leave their hotel room until they return to the airport so he's quarantined until tomorrow.

Tonight Alan's been busy fitting new bathroom accessories while I did some online training before starting at the Zoo tomorrow, and then I had a video chat with Alison - another busy day, but a good one.
