A Mother's Day in Edinburgh
Of course, now, I'm always looking for photographs so on my way to have lunch with "mother and daughter" in Edinburgh (where Fiona had hosted her Mum overnight to spoil her) I came across 'The PLAYFAIR STEPS' on the approach to 'The Scottish National Gallery. I think the scene catches the essence of Edinburgh.
And it was a good occasion - I visited the Gallery where I saw Rodin's Sculpture 'The Kiss' and a piece by my cousin Fred Stiven. And then I enjoyed lunch with my wife Olive, (whose Day it really was), our daughter Fiona, grandson Oscar and in absentia Morna and Neil (working and far away) whose loving presence in 'Mum's' life she gratefully toasted.
