Forth bridges
Driving back to Glasgow this morning after yesterday's disappointing day at the rugby. However as it was a beautiful, bright winter's morning I decided to head for South Queensferry to try and capture my first ever picture of the iconic Forth rail bridge.
I got there just in time to take a few pictures before a weather front travelling at the speed of light rushed across the scene bringing driving snow and causing the bridges to disappear.
I chose this picture as you can see the weather rushing in from the right just as it reaches the Forth rail bridge, which I think adds a bit of interest to the scene. It also shows three of the Forth bridges (nearly). You can clearly see the Forth rail bridge on the right and the Forth road bridge on the left, but if you look beyond the Forth road bridge you can just make out some of the activity in the river to put in the foundations for the as yet unnamed new Forth road bridge. Of the suggested names I've heard mentioned so far I think I like the idea of calling it the Third Forth bridge best.
