HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU

I went to the Woodland Park today and saw so many interesting things I could use up quite a few more extras, but I've decided on only one. Here's another Large Red Damselfly (which is in fact not very large at all). While I was watching it the swan family swam by with four brand new cygnets*, and later on I walked past their nest which still had two eggs in it*. I guess they must have known those two weren't going to hatch. I also found a fabulous fungus on an old log, Chicken of the Woods, which is the extra. It was beautiful. I spotted two terrapins* lurking in the ponds near the car park, so I imagine a lot of tadpoles won't be making it to froghood this year.

*not extras, but could have been.
