Glicina

This is the first time our wisteria has flowered. And what a pretty subtle flower it is. Took a while but who’s counting?

Matteo down at the filling station said, ‘E’ tornato l’inverno’ (or ‘winters back’).

Heavy thick grey skies, an Atlantic flow, as they say at the Met Office. My resilience in the time of COVID to these weatherly hand-brake terms is sadly reduced.

But finally I planted up greenhouse seeds in the new heated propagator. Squash, flowers, a few extra toms, gherkins, more cayenne peppers, basil, cantaloupe melons. Hopefully they’ll all rush along and fill gaps and extend fruiting beyond the ubiquitous and increasingly sophisticated nursery plants that arrive at the agri store.

Crown and jab tomorrow. Tooth and arm. Lucky boy.
