The colour purple
As I’ve mentioned in previous years, today is fibromyalgia awareness day If you see someone wearing a purple ribbon, like the familiar pink one for breast cancer, it’s representing fibromyalgia.
Please take a minute to think about this horrible illness that my daughter was diagnosed with sixteen years ago, when she was only seventeen. It’s not imaginary, it’s not some excuse to get out of work, it’s not laziness, it’s not something she’ll grow out of.
It’s real and it hurts, physically and mentally.
I’d have it for her if I could.
