Linum Perenne

We did rather a long walk today and got caught on the return journey in the heavy rain. We walked along the coast path to Exmouth and it was fairly warm when we left. We could see the dark clouds rolling in and could have taken the bus home. There were several fields of this blue flower which I understand is called linum perenne or flax. It looks very pretty, see extra, and can be grown as a garden plant. We both looked rather bedraggled when we arrived home having walked just under 12 miles. I soon jumped into the shower to warm up as I was feeling a bit damp.
