Grey Heron
No sign of the young one at the loch today. There were 2 new adults at either end of the loch and some newly hatched goslings (still under their mothers wing). Not sure if the young one was in the middle of the loch or on a wander. I had to use the fish up so I tried the one at the entrance end of the loch. After a few attempts it tried a bit and was more than willing to eat the lot getting closer to me all the time. Much more cautious than the young one but not surprising really. I also gave the two crows a piece which they eagerly ate.
Hopefully the young one will be back tomorrow.
The extra is the Heron catching a minnow. Not easy to see as it blends with the fence but it is about threequarters way down it's beak. It caught it and "tossed" it down it's throat.
