Geese
I met up with JP at the Carfraemill Hotel for lunch today - which is where we met the last time just before it became forbidden to travel to the Borders, back at the end of October. We had a leisurely lunch and then went on a fairly short, dampish walk up the track to Hillhouse and a bit beyond. I've been noticing greylag geese in a number of places this spring, including on the lochan near Stobo Castle. I can't see them migrating north to breed now, so I guess they are resident all year round. Maybe it's something to do with global warming - or maybe I’ve just not been at the right place at the right time before.
Back-blipped from 12th May.
