Just a walk in the park

Rain threatened but we stayed dry. 
Walked up to the park. Didnt take my camera so of course found some nice things to photgraph, including these gosling which I got to as close as the parents would let me and snapped with the phone camera.

The prunus trees by the bandstand have a very deep pink blossom this year. .
We walked up all the steps to the cenotaph instead of walking round. It wasnt windy so we sat and watched the world go by for several relaxing minutes. 

Tesco shop later, nice and quiet so in and out quite quickly.  

Very very thick clouds hovering over us on our teatime walk. The light was so strange as everything was illuminated from the north east , the only bit of sky that wasnt dense cloud so the only source of light .
 A distant rumble of thunder but none reached us, but the rain did. Started coming down very heavily as we reached the end of the street. Glad I'd got my rain jacket on.

Still looking at the weather forecasts for next week.. still debating whether to go on our trip.
