Leafing Through The Library

Today's image was taken on the way back from shopping for ingredients to make a chocolate and peppermint shortbread.
It is part of the outside of Maidstone Library - or as it is now called Kent History and Library Centre - it was purpose built in 2012 to house the former Centre for Kentish Studies and the town's former central library under one roof at a cost of £12 million pounds and holds over 40,000 books and a huge wealth of documents, photos, maps and records about the county's history. To my shame I have never actually been inside.
I love the leaf sculptures adorning these outside walls but I cannot seem to find out any details about them. There is actually an Anthony Gormley sculpture on the other side of the building entitled "Two Stones" which was installed in 2013 (it was originally commissioned by the county council in the 1970's for a new development in Ashford but was removed following vandalism) but it just seems to be exactly what it says  on the tin - two large stones - positioned next to a busy roundabout! Maybe I'm missing something!
The chocolate and peppermint shortbread turned out well.
