Fashionistas

An illustration from the Illustrated London News of 1866.  I'm getting really interested in Victorian fashion - a hark-back to my childhood I suspect.  

I used to visit my Grandmother in a village called Creaton in Northamptonshire, and she had a spare room upstairs at the back which was full of Victorian novels and publications.  I'd spend hours up there immersed in a Victorian world; imagining myself dressed in a crinoline, and taking tea.  We were very much working class so I am certain we would not have afforded luxury silks and laces.
