That sort of day

Mixture of sunshine and (snow) showers. Socrates Cafe this morning was very interesting as we discussed, "Why has Feminism Stalled?" and then had a bit of time to discuss whether our possessions can own us, instead of vice versa.
Later on I couldn't believe the goal that wasn't given in the Edinburgh derby. First heard about it from a Facebook status message written by a friend who is currently travelling in Latin America as there was a brief delay in the update on the BBC website - good example of global connectivity. Saw it on the news and it was one of those times when the ball bounced down from the crossbar. Unlike the 1966 World Cup goal there was no doubt looking at the pictures - if anything it was even further over the line than the Lampard goal that wasn't given in the 2010 World Cup. The game ended 0-0 so I imagine Hibees will be going on about it for a while. Even more so if their tough run-in up to the league split means they miss out on a top six place.
