mummie strett

this is the card i will send to my wonderful mum, aka mummie strett

the reason i havent sent it yet is the fact that they are away and have been for a few days now. i rang her tho today and had a good little catch up.

when i think about my mum several things come to mind. the hours put into my life from the moment of conception until now. the food provided for me despite the grumbling and moaning. the fingernails painted together. the hairstyles we used to love doing on each other. the clothes shopping and laughing at funny outfits. the coffees together. the emotional and challenging days when our characters clashed. the role model she is. the family atmosphere we have. for loving my dad and my brothers and me. and the women who she has helped me become.

I really do thank God for her: especially today.

the rest of today has been pretty nul void...trying to get better but im a rubbish patient.
my brother popping over for a natter cheered me up.
as did these bright daffodils from a few days ago :)
