Cats! - TT311, Tiny Tuesday
We had to take lunch and presents to a family member who was 90 today. Afterwards I had hoped for a short walk in the coutryside but the heavens opened and this plan had to be abandoned. Thoughts then turned to the Tiny Tuesday challenge on the theme of animals.I asked my 90 year old relative if she had any small animals in her house that I could photograph? Three suggestions were offered. Firstly, a small bronze statue of two mice, Secondly, this now very old novelty ornament from Glion in Switzerland and thirdly a tiny figurine of a golfer. The golfer, having taken a swing at the ball had managed to wrap his arms right around his body whild the ball remained passively next to his foot. Discounting the mice as a bit too large and rather dark, and the golfer, who could not be described as an animal, it had to be the small novelty ornamnent. The cat on the ornament is quite tiny, and behind the door but difficult to see is a tiny kitten. The ornament is very worn, the light was poor and the photograph was taken holding the camera under the watchful eye of my 90 year old relative. Oh well, it was worth a try!
