Visit to Hemp cafe
Well, I never expected to spend the afternoon in a Hemp café sampling my first ever CBD .
It was purely accidental. A small group of us had arranged to meet for the first time since lockdown in Stirling city centre, and through some quirk of circumstances found ourselves in the Hemp café instead of the Book Nook.
Well, I had never been in a Hemp café before so obviously I had to try some CBD. (“ Whats that?” I asked).
“Start off with 20” suggested Natalie (pictured) the manageress.
This is totally alien territory to me. I had no idea what CBD stood for let alone 20 .
(Now I know CBD is a cannabis derivative with healing properties).
I ordered a café latte. At least I knew what that was.
“ It will be sprinkled on the top,” explained Natalie “ You just stir it in.” (See extra).
I began to feel a bit queasy.
“Look I have got to drive home afterwards.”
“ Don’t worry,” said Natalie.” You will drive even better.”
“ You will feel very relaxed,” she assured me.
I could certainly do with that having spent hours this morning battling with computer software.
The coffee is excellent. But did I feel any different? Difficult to tell.
In the heady excitement of coming out of lockdown what is a bit of hemp between friends? though I noticed that the rest of the group declined.
This is the kind of place you expect in big cities but then Stirling has aspirations of being a city.
PS Thank you all for the huge response to yesterdays blip.
