Help!

Harley came in today and jumped onto the kitchen table. I was just making a fuss of him, when I spotted what appeared to be an open wound between the tops of his front legs. You can just see the red edge of it in the photo. On closer inspection it was a nasty big tear with the skin pulled back from the muscles. Off to the vet with him, where he has been undergoing repair under anaesthetic, and is staying in overnight for observation. The vet suspects that from the look of the injury, the cause may be barbed wire. Poor Harley!
