Cherry blossom
I nearly cut this tree down years ago. It looked like it was not going to survive. I removed a few bits and left it to its own devices. Now, it is so tall that many of the cherries are only for the birds. We are doubly lucky to have them, since most cherry trees in the region have been blighted by a disease.
There are two kinds of cherry in Poland. There are some dark ones which are often used to make alcoholic potions and I don't know what they are called in English. These are the lighter coloured ones - normal cherries.
