And the winner is.....

This is following  on from my blip on 4th May, in which the closed bud was just starting to reveal a deep orange treat of a flower and I wondered what it was. The general consensus was that it was an Oriental Poppy. 

Well it appears that it is a ranunculus. Which actually makes more sense as we never planted a poppy. Mr K did recall a ranunculus in our mixed perennial collection last year. Mystery solved. Mind you, I’m happy to be proved wrong. 

So who wins? Must be me, because I have a beautiful flower, and the ants of course, as they seem to love it!
