Shep at her Salad Bar

Well I thought today was going to be mainly spent indoors after last night's weather forecast of shower fronts whipping through regularly, but it's now mid afternoon and the sky is only just turning a little ominous on the skyline.  The good thing is that's meant we've been out of doors quite a lot, and only a little bit indoors cleaning the shower and the bathroom floor.  That's a win then.

The day is going very slowly because our daughter in the US is giving an important presentation today and as we are five hours ahead, we won't hear anything until evening time, so I've been filling my time with jobs to avoid looking at my watch.  She will smash it as she enjoys talking about her work and has practised delivering to friends who know about these things.

I've done several loads of washing; booked Joe the chimney sweep; completed some lessons of Czech; put a fruit loaf in the breadmaker and pottered in the garden.  Tony has taken the jardiniere and the hanging baskets up to the allotment to fill them with bedding plants, and he has put the displaced pansies in to a planter and they look very nice on the wall around Shep's compound.  The squirrels are very confused, let's hope the local cats are too.  Today's blip is of Shep at her salad bar in the mini meadow.  I'm not sure what she is nibbling on but it is going down well.

Ah that was thunder, and here comes the rain.

I have a busy couple of days coming up tomorrow and Thursday, including a visit to an old, dear friend who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.....
