Mother's Day

Ann received two cards (100%) and we met Emma this morning for coffee. So that was nice. I've sent my mother a card but didn't see her as we are all going up next weekend to have a little party at the care home to celebrate her 90th birthday.

The weather deteriorated from cold to cold with sleet so we decided to hunker down for the afternoon and watch the rugby and tennis.

The photo is part of an iron railing atop a wall that we walk past on the way home. I was taken with the different textures, almost like moving through geographical periods - stone age, iron age, IKEA age !

The blurs on the metal spikes are not sun glare (I should be so lucky) its snow on the lens.
