Very small lizard

He watched us gardening for quite a long time. But what is he? He looks like a miniature blue tongue. But should there be baby blueys at this time of year? And should he be out by himself?

The second unusual event today was the big shiny red fire engine cruising around our narrow road. The third was that our water turned brown. Turns out those two are connected. The firies were testing the water pressure in the fire hydrants. Well good for them, but how do we cook and wash up?

As far as I can see, the bluey had nothing to do with the brown water. But then again...
