Sunday Best

Raspberry posed in the computer chair until she couldn't take the clicking anymore. One very exciting thing this morning with all the piles of snow was two sightings of yes, we saw them, chipmunks. She was thrilled when we told her. I saw one at a distance out on the stonewall and T saw one run across the doorstep! YAY!!!

I read something on a blog yesterday about a photographer who set his Leica on facial recognition and that it works perfectly cross species as well. I tried it today and at 2.8, I got so many more keepers, too many really.

We took a short drive to one of the areas with minor damage along the coast yesterday. Lots of small stones and pieces of smashed lobster traps and rope washed up. Still beautiful but lots of damage with stones everywhere. We didn't go to Scituate where the damage is severe and it feels awful to be gawking at the hard hit homes. The tree and coastal damage will take months to repair and clean up. The warm sun tomorrow should begin a major melt of the mounded white blanket.

Chipmunks coming out of their burrows is such a lovely sign of spring. Now we'll see if ancient Fyra, my dearest little friend made it through another winter to sit on my lap again.
