Sunrise and leaves

The top photo shows this morning’s sunrise which, given the saying “red sky in the morning, shepherds take warning” lived up to its reputation.  It’s been grey and overcast all day, with periods of heavy rain.  Despite the rain, we managed to get out for a couple of hours and deliver brochures for the daughter, which is where I saw the carpet of autumn-coloured leaves in the bottom photo.  Rather pretty, I thought.
