Bluebell woods

There are certainly a lot of bluebells around at the moment.  I was out on a walk with the walking group in Sidmouth today and decided to arrive early and revisit an area I had spotted early bluebells a few weeks ago.  It was a bit further away than I had remembered and after taking a few photos I raced down the hill to meet up with the group.  We were on a tree trail walk of the area and explored many areas of Sidmouth viewing various trees including Hankerchief tree, Foxglove tree, Judas tree to name a few.  Its always fun exploring the back streets of Sidmouth as there are so many different ways to go.  The walk eventually took us up a steep path to Salcombe Hill where we continued on to Salcombe Regis with lunch in the Church cemetery.  We then climbed back up to the coastal side of Salcombe Hill taking time to admire the view back down to the beach below, see extra.  It was then onto the coastal path which was by now fairly windy and back down through the woods I had visited before the start of the walk.  We were very lucky with the weather as there had been a few short showers before the start, as we had pretty warm and sunny weather.

A good day out and great to catch up with other walkers a few who I hadn't seen for a very long time.
